Mike became a Director at CCG in 2001 and provides a broad executive background in international business, infrastructure services, public works management and venture capital investing. Mike is currently President & CEO of United States Infrastructure Corporation (USIC), the largest infrastructure locating and damage prevention services company in the U.S. USIC was formed in 2008 by leading private equity firm, Kohlberg & Company, resulting form its simultaneous acquisitions of SM&P Utility Resources from The Laclede Group and Central Locating Services from Asplundh Tree Expert.

Prior to his current leadership role with USIC, Mike most recently completed a 5-year diplomatic appointment abroad as the chief of staff and chief operating officer for the United Nations World Food Programme, the world's largest humanitarian agency helping 100 million beneficiaries in 80 countries with a $3 billion annual budget and 14,000 employees. Mike spent six years with NiSource, Inc.where he was Senior Vice President of EnergyUSA, the non-regulated subsidiary of NiSource, where he was responsible for the management of four operating companies providing infrastructure services to utility and government clients throughout the U.S., aggregating $250 million in revenues, with over 3,500 employees. He was President & CEO of SM&P Utility Resources (one of the largest underground utility contract locating firms), while also having P&L responsibility for Miller Pipeline Corporation (a natural gas distribution construction company), an energy engineering company, and NiSource's distributed generation R&D projects for microturbines and fuel cells. Mike served for 3 years as the Director of Public Works and Enterprise Development for the City of Indianapolis, where he was responsible for negotiating and structuring the privatization of Indianapolis' wastewater treatment and international airport operations while also being responsible for Indianapolis' annual public works operating budget of $125 million with 1,200 employees. In addition, Mike has considerable venture capital experience developing emerging companies and technologies and was also a financial planning manager for the Ford Motor Company early in his career.

Mike served as a U.S. Army military intelligence officer during the Viet Nam war, earned his bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Wabash College and his master's in International Business from the George Washington University.
